Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CareVouch website and services. CareVouch is a trading name of JJHSolutions Ltd ("we", "us", or "our").
Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data, including GPS location data.
1. Nature of the Service
CareVouch is a care visit tracking service that allows families and small care agencies to record when a care assistant checks in or out at a client property using a QR code. Account holders manage one or more client locations, each with its own QR code. The service provides a timestamped record of visits per carer and per location, with optional GPS on-site verification. The service does not verify the identity of care assistants or the quality of care provided.
2. Account Registration
To use CareVouch, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate registration information
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Notify us of any unauthorised access to your account
3. Subscription and Billing
CareVouch is a subscription service billed monthly. A 30-day free trial is included with no card required at signup. You only enter payment details if you choose to continue past day 30. Your subscription includes:
- Unlimited dashboard access and event history
- Daily summary email notifications
- The ability to invite family members to your account
- A number of client locations and named carers depending on your plan — see the pricing page for current limits
4. QR Code and Location Usage
Your account includes one or more unique QR codes, one per client location. Each QR code should be printed and displayed at the relevant client property. You are responsible for:
- Keeping QR codes secure and only displaying them at the intended property
- Archiving a QR code if it is lost or compromised (which issues a new one)
- Informing care assistants how to use the check-in system
- Using short, anonymised labels for client locations in accordance with GDPR data minimisation principles — full client names and addresses should not be stored as location labels
5. Care Assistant Usage and GPS
Care assistants use the service by scanning a QR code, selecting their name from a pre-configured list, and tapping Check In or Check Out. Care assistants do not create accounts.
When a carer scans a QR code, their phone browser may request permission to access the device's GPS location. This is a standard browser permission. If granted, a single GPS coordinate is captured at the moment of the scan to verify the visit took place at the expected property. If declined, the check-in records normally with a "location unavailable" status.
You are responsible for informing care assistants that GPS location data may be captured at the moment of scanning, in accordance with your obligations under UK GDPR and employment law.
6. Data and Privacy
CareVouch is designed with data minimisation in mind:
- No personal data is required for care assistants — they select a pre-configured name and do not enter personal details
- No medical or health information is collected or stored — the service records visit times only
- Client location labels should be short references only (e.g. "Client 12") — full personal names or addresses must not be stored
- GPS scan coordinates are stored for audit purposes only, accessible to the account owner and invited family members
You are the data controller for any personal data relating to your clients and carers that you configure in the service. We act as a data processor on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with UK GDPR and any applicable employment or care regulations.
7. Limitations of the Service
CareVouch:
- Does NOT verify the identity of care assistants
- Does NOT monitor or assess the quality of care provided
- Does NOT hard-block check-ins based on GPS location — location anomalies are flagged only
- Does NOT guarantee that all check-ins/check-outs will be recorded (care assistants may forget to scan)
- Does NOT collect or store any medical, health, or care-related information about clients
The service is intended as a transparency and accountability tool for families and care agencies. It should not be relied upon as the sole method of monitoring care arrangements.
8. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Using the service lawfully and in accordance with these Terms
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- Ensuring that family members you invite use the service appropriately
- Not using the service for any unlawful surveillance purposes
- Informing care assistants that GPS location data is captured at the moment of scanning (if location permission is granted on their device)
- Complying with UK GDPR in your use of the data the service collects

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
